Promises to Noah and Promises of the Messiah

At the end of the flood, Noah sent out a dove which returned with an olive branch proving that the flood waters had receded. Upon leaving the ark, Noah sacrified animals on an altar. The aroma was pleasing to God. God set the rainbow in the sky as a token of his promise never to destroy the world with a flood again. The sword, spear, plowshares, and pruning hook point to the physical and spiritual life God's children have. This is established by Christ, the Rose of Sharon.
In Christ, the Light of the World, the words of Isaiah are fulfilled: "Arise, shine, for your light has come." The family tree of the tribe of Judah is shown with kingly crowns -- beginning with David and climaxing with Christ. Immanuel (God with us) was the good news proclaimed by the angel.
