The Sermon on the Mount

Some of Jesus' teachings in the Sermon on the Mount...
A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light shine before men.
When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then you Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Do not worry about your life, what you will ear or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Look at the birds of the air. See how the lilies of the field grow. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will know them.
Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
