YMCA Camp Edwards
On March 15th, the 3rd and 4th grade students went on a field trip to the YMCA Camp Edwards in East Troy, to learn about maple syrup. The weather was beautiful - a true gift!! Everyone had a great time. We had a very entertaining leader, who really got the kids involved. The kids learned how to tap a tree, collect the sap, and boil the sap. During lunch we were able to do a taste test and see if we could tell the difference between real maple syrup and pancake syrup. We also got to have our choice of syrup to sample on a pancake which was provided by Camp Edwards. A very fun time!!!!
